La Quinta Inn & Suites Salem

I always stay here when I'm in Salem and usually I'm very impressed with it. This time though the girl that checked me in was not very friendly and she kind of put me off but the other girl at the front desk was better. The hotel is non-smoking and when I went upstairs to go to my room I could completely smell cigarette smoke I did go down and complain about it at the front desk and the one girl was up there looking to see who was smoking so they did take care of the problem but I've never experienced anything like that there before it was really irritating. And the people in the room above me were so stinking noisy all night long they were stomping around and they sounded like elephants but like I said usually I enjoy my stay there but this time not so much. The staff is changed and some of the changes I would not say or for the better but the housekeeping lady she was amazing and very sweet and breakfast was pretty good

This place is a sh#thole. $140 for a disgusting hotel. The walls and floors like paper. Graffiti scratched into the elevator. Crappy pillows. I'm about to check out and get my money back . Phone didn't work, lights didnt work next to bed, drunk people clocking around upstairs. Staff did move us to quieter room but I wish I had my money back
