I think this is mostly a guns-n-guitars sort of place. Brought in sterling silver jewelry to sell. Not a good experience. While the lady at the jewelry counter was very nice and pointed me at the line, the gentleman that looked at the jewelry (1) asked me to price it for him without weighing it (at 33 rings, I guesstimated $2 each or $60 as a rock bottom); (2) referred to the rings as "silver scrap", which is fine, but then he DID NOT WEIGH THEM; and (3) offered me all of $10. Since I'm aware that I can sell them for "silver scrap" in Portland (for silver weight, which is why I was shocked he didn't weigh them - and why $10 was insulting), I left. Not recommended.
I have to say that the service I receive at Capital Pawn is great! Josh always is polite and takes good care of me and recently after paying off a much needed loan, Josh and Maria hooked me up with a great camera purchase for my teenage photography lover and Maria gave me some great advice on how to care for it and use it. Thanks Capital Pawn for being there when I need you and for hiring great people! UPDATE: So I had to update my review to 5 stars and would give them 10 if I could! You never want to have to pawn something, but isn't it nice to be able to if you need to. After a string of life changing events I have needed to lean on this place pretty hard, and they have come through for me every time. Everyone here is friendly and helpful but Dan was my hero today! He helped me, listened to me, and gave me some great advice because this place cares about people and cares about their customers so 'Thank you Dan'! Do yourself a favor and check them out!
