I really wanted to like it. I'm English, and look for home comforts, from time to time. First off, the place was empty as it was a Thursday morning, but full of cooking smoke. So everything now smells of smoke. Apart from that, the Full English Breakfast was very poor. Clearly the flat top was dirty, as everything was covered in specks of black, burnt food. This also meant that all every component tasted like the flat top. The sausages were rock hard, the black pudding was like a hockey puck, and the extra cost English bacon (how is that an extra cost if the dish is sold as "Full English"?) was half an inch thick!!! Not even the thickest of thick cut bacon is close to that, back home. I can't believe the proprietor has ever seen English bacon. It wouldn't have been so bad, if it tasted OK, but alas, it tasted like the flat top. Very poor, very disappointing. Swimming in grease. Very far from a British experience for this overseas Briton.
